Summary
Exxon needed a new platform and ladder installed on a large tower. Instead of taking the time to build costly scaffolding to do the ladder and platform installation work, ARS used Rope Access to provide a detailed inspection and perform the ladder and platform installation on the tower. ARS used rope access methods to raise and lower equipment and workers to install the ladder and platform.
Scope and Method
ARS was hired to install and ladder and platform for Exxon. After the inspection, ARS used high angle lines to move workers and equipment up and down during the ladder and platform installation process. ARS also used mechanical advantage lines to move the heavy equipment up to the installation site.
Conclusion
ARS completed the Exxon Ladder and Platform job using Rope Access only. No costly cranes, manlifts or scaffolding was needed.
