Summary
Sharq Cooling Tower needed the concrete inspected and repaired/resurfaced. Instead of taking the time to build costly scaffolding to do the inspection, concrete and painting work, ARS used Rope Access to provide a detailed inspection and analysis of the Sharq Cooling Tower. ARS was also hired to perform the concrete resurfacing and painting work.
Scope and Method
ARS was hired to inspect the Sharq Cooling Tower and provide a method to repair and resurface the concrete as well as paint the final product. After the inspection, ARS used high angle lines to lower workers down the Cooling Tower to do the concrete resurfacing and painting work. ARS used high angle lines around the top of the cooling tower to lower and raise workers completing the tasks at hand.
Conclusion
ARS completed the Sharq Cooling Tower job using Rope Access only. No costly cranes, manlifts or scaffolding was needed.
